  DO NOT BELIEVE THE POSITIVE REVIEWS FOR THIS COMPANY! THE PROPERTY MANAGERS ARE PAID BY BEN LEEDS PROPERTIES TO GET TENANTS TO LEAVE POSITIVE REVIEWS! RENTERS BEWARE! DON'T RENT FROM BEN LEEDS PROPERTIES!
  Let's start at the beginning, I have been a tenant for one year and I am out and done! I should have seen how terrible this company was when I first applied. The property manager she was nice who showed me my unit,and of course you are excited moving into a new place but when dealing with leasing they talk down to you like your idiot, I didn't take it personally because I thought maybe they are having a bad day, that isn't the case some of my former neighbors had the same experience too. Throughout my year as a tenant with Ben Leeds Properties, they have not been very kind. When you first move in you think this place looks so good, they did such a good job renovating the unit, WRONG! For instance, the walls are just painted over and over and over and coated with fragrance type of paint, god knows what lives underneath, how do I know this? I can tell and plus my manager ended up being a chatty kathy and she spilled the beans. She also told me that my unit and another tenant had a bad mold problem a year prior in the unit and Ben Leeds did not treat it they just painted over it and it kept coming back.
  When you have a maintenance request, they are supposed to come on a certain day depending on your building work order day, and I prefer to be home when someone comes in my home, so I would take off from work but the workers would never even show up and then my manager would call me on a random day asking to gain access when I wasn't even home or without 24 hour notice. Also when the maintenance crew did come on many occasions, they would track dirt into my apartment or make a mess on what they are working on, that later on I would have to clean up.
  When I would address my complaints on issues with maintenance crew or maintenances, coach roaches in the apartment or a different issues I had to my property manager she told me I will ask the office and then when I would follow up with her, she told me the office hasn't gotten back to her and this would be weeks to months on end. So I reached out to the office speak to someone higher up at Ben Leeds Properties on different complaints I would have with the company. And anyone I spoke to at the office would be rude when you speak to them and finally when I spoke to a supervisor which was AUTUMN ROBINSON, again another person who talks to you like your an idiot, and her entitled attitude was too much for me and she was no help at all. I don't know why Ben Leeds Properties hires people who are so rude and unkind especially for being a supervisor. AUTUMN ROBINSON along with her fellow Ben Leeds workers need to take a class on customer service. I really wished I searched yelp and read the honest reviews, before renting with Ben Leeds Properties, it would have saved me money and a year of Hell. My property manager she told me that each positive review on yelp she gets a small bonus, so if you look recently in the last year which when it took affect they have been getting more positive reviews but they are basically paid positive reviews, and the property manager are getting their tenants to leave positive reviews so they can get a bonus. I wish yelp would some how crack down on this some how. Overall Ben Leeds properties is just out for making money and they do not care about their tenants one bit, they have many properties in the Los Angeles Area so keep a look out and stay away! So any one looking for an apartment please beware this company is terrible and I promise you will find something better. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!- Check out yelp to see what I am talking about!
