  This place makes custom furniture in the back of an auto shop. The work is fantastic, and the prices are great. No, they don't really have a fussy, high-end showroom, but they're not charging high-end prices, either. I had them make an oversized Barcelona bench for my office. It rocks. People ask me where I got it. I tell them, "Pacific Design Center, and it was only $5000", and they don't even flinch. Then I tell them the truth: this was made out of the back of an auto upholstery place on Melrose.
